National Friendship Day

On Saturday, I reconnected with a friend that I haven't been in contact with for several years. It was GREAT to catch up with her and it was as if no time had passed. There's nothing better than reconnecting with old friends.

National Friendship day is the first Sunday of August each year and it celebrates the importance of platonic relationships. Remember, friends are the people that you choose to have in your life, and it is the purest type of human relationship. Thanks to social media, we are able to celebrate our friendships no matter where our friends are in the world.

It's been a tough couple of years, and this reinforced the value of human connection for all of us. Today, is a great day to appreciate your circle of friends and to reach out to old friends and rekindle your bond with them.
